Welcome to Russian and East European Cultures at Hunter College! Formerly known as Crossing Borders, the series offers an opportunity for writers, artists, performers, filmmakers, scholars and political thinkers from Russia and Eastern Europe to present their work in New York City. Reflecting the academic curriculum of the Russian and Slavic Studies Program, the series is designed to inspire our students and enrich their learning experience, as well as to acquaint New Yorkers at large with Russian and East European cultures. Our events (readings, lectures, film screenings, book talks and more) take place during the academic year and are usually free and open to the public. We are looking forward to seeing you at Hunter!
